Pluto in Aquarius: The Wrecking Ball That Will Shatter the Collective Future
Pluto enters Aquarius, never to return to Capricorn on 19 November 2024. What can you expect on a personal and collective level
Forget the sugar-coated stories you’ve been told about Pluto or the airy optimism surrounding Aquarius. This isn’t about progress or gentle transformation. Pluto doesn’t dabble in subtlety, and Aquarius, ruled by Saturn, isn’t the free-spirited visionary some would like to believe. Together, they are set to upend our world—and if you’re not paying attention, you’re in for a rude awakening.
Pluto: The Destroyer
Pluto doesn’t bring soft lessons or pleasant growth. It annihilates. It rips apart illusions, tears down outdated systems, and forces you to confront the raw, ugly truth. And no, it doesn’t ask for your permission. Pluto’s influence is relentless and unforgiving. It doesn’t just demand change; it enforces destruction so profound that rebuilding is the only option.
When Pluto enters a new sign, it takes aim at everything that sign governs. It’s not here to enhance or improve; it’s here to expose the rot, burn it to the ground, and make sure there’s no going back. For the next 20 years, Pluto’s target is Aquarius, and that means science, technology, social networks, collective ideologies, and even astrology itself are about to face their death cycle.
Aquarius: More Saturn Than You Think
Before Uranus was assigned as its modern ruler, Aquarius belonged to Saturn, the planet of structure, discipline, and authority. Don’t let its quirky, rebellious stereotype fool you—Aquarius is about systems, not anarchy. It governs:
Science and Technology: From revolutionary breakthroughs to the frameworks that control societies.
Social Media and Networks: The tools and platforms that connect—or manipulate—us.
Collective Ideals: Groupthink, activism, and movements that aim to shape the future.
Astrology and Esotericism: Aquarius is deeply tied to the mystical, especially how we perceive the cosmos and its patterns.
Progressive Movements: The push for reform, often disguised as progress while serving hidden agendas.
Aquarius, at its core, is about innovation with structure. But Pluto doesn’t care for those boundaries. It’s here to rip them apart.
I’ve Been Through Pluto’s Hell—Let Me Tell You What’s Coming
This isn’t theoretical for me. As a Capricorn rising ruled by Saturn, with Saturn conjunct Pluto in the 8th house, I’ve lived through Pluto’s destruction firsthand. When Pluto transited my 12th and 1st houses, it brought a level of chaos most people can only imagine. Hidden enemies didn’t just emerge—they launched full-scale attacks. Family members turned against me. Outsiders tried to sabotage my closest relationships. I was arrested, endured two court cases, and was forced to face the darkest corners of my existence.
Pluto doesn’t just destroy your outer world; it digs into the core of your identity. It reveals every weak spot and false foundation and tears it down without mercy. You don’t survive a Pluto transit unscathed, but you do come out with a brutal clarity about what truly matters, that is where Pluto’s true power resides. This is exactly what’s happening on a global scale as Pluto shifts into Aquarius.
The Collective Destruction: Where We Are Now
Pluto’s mission is clear: destroy everything that holds false power over us. In Capricorn, it obliterated our trust in traditional authority:
Governments: Corruption and incompetence are no longer hidden. Public trust has eroded to near nonexistence.
Bankers: The financial systems we relied on are crumbling under their weight.
Scientists: Once untouchable authorities, science has become politicised and weaponised, leaving people sceptical of its motives.
Doctors: Blind trust in the medical establishment shattered during the pandemic, with many questioning their guidance entirely.
Celebrities and Influencers: The golden age of celebrity is dying. Those who saw the writing on the wall sold up and disappeared; the rest are flailing in irrelevance.
Pluto in Capricorn was about dismantling hierarchical authority. As it moves into Aquarius, the focus shifts to collective systems—science, technology, and the very networks that shape our world.
Pluto in Aquarius: The Death of Innovation
So, what does Pluto in Aquarius mean? Expect nothing less than the complete collapse of everything Aquarius represents. This isn’t a shift; it’s a reckoning.
Science and Technology Will Implode
The industries we’ve placed on pedestals—AI, biotech, big tech monopolies—will face scandals, corruption, and public backlash. Breakthroughs may become weapons, innovations may backfire, and the systems we trust will reveal their darker agendas.
Social Media’s Death Spiral
Platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok have already shown cracks, but Pluto will finish the job. Mass censorship, manipulation, and the exploitation of user data will push people to abandon these platforms. Social media as we know it will either transform entirely or die.
Astrology and Spirituality Under Fire
The commodification of astrology and esotericism won’t survive. Charlatans and influencers who misuse these tools for profit or manipulation will be exposed. Astrology will undergo a necessary purge, leaving behind only those who practice with integrity.
AI and Surveillance Pushback
The rise of AI has been celebrated as the next great leap forward, but Pluto in Aquarius will show us the cost. From ethical concerns to outright rebellion, humanity will resist becoming subservient to the machines we’ve created.
The Collapse of Collective Ideals
Movements and ideologies that seemed unstoppable will implode under the weight of their hypocrisy. Activism weaponised for control will be dismantled, leaving room for authentic reform to take root.
What This Means for You
Pluto’s transits aren’t just external; they’re deeply personal. As collective systems fall apart, you’ll be forced to confront your relationship with authority, technology, and community. Ask yourself:
- What systems do I rely on without question?
- Am I using technology, or is it using me?
- How do I contribute to the collective without losing myself?
Pluto in Aquarius is here to challenge every assumption you’ve made about progress, innovation, and connection. It will strip away what’s false, leaving only what’s real. This is not a time for complacency—it’s a time for ruthless self-honesty and a willingness to rebuild from the ground up.
The Reckoning Is Here
The wrecking ball is swinging, and there’s no escaping its path. Science, technology, social networks, AI, astrology—everything Aquarius represents will face its death cycle. But destruction is not the end. It’s an opportunity. When the dust settles, we’ll have the chance to build something real, something enduring, something true.
The question is - will you resist the destruction or embrace the transformation? Because one thing is certain—Pluto doesn’t wait for anyone.

Thank you for having the honesty to frame the cosmic condition in such a direct fashion, Ms L.
Speaking personally, I welcome the ongoing transformation. I absolutely find the idiots guide to environmentalism to be the biggest impediment to a healthy, growing natural world, and that is just one place where dysfunctional ideologies are the guardians of unworkable policy where those who do the actual work are abused and mined by overpaid top dogs.
For example; AI exists because science rapes the western mystical tradition. Cognitive scientists, some of the most repellant creatures, openly admit this. They dismantle mysticism, mankinds only real avenue to knowing the divine, in order to build systems of replacement, slavery, and control.
Technology is never selected, its forced on society, and viable options are intentionally repressed.
The wealthiest in society create criminal feedback systems that merely transfer wealth upwards into their greasy little palms.
So bring on transformation. Swing the wrecking ball. Wipe the slate clean.
Its time.
Huzzah! The old trope of "transformation" is an attempt to obscure the horror of birth and death. As a teacher of mine with Mercury conjunct Pluto in Leo once told me, "Pluto never has a pretty face."
